A month ahead of the FIM SuperMoto of Nations set to happen in Cahors, France, on the October 3 weekend, Italy announced today their line-up for the most prestigious SuperMoto race in the year: Ivan Lazzarini, Davide Gozzini and Christian Ravaglia will try bring home the coveted Francesco Zerbi Trophy for their third time.

TRISCINA (ITALY), 29 August 2010 – It was an excellent weekend for Davide Gozzini after winning his first GP of the season and becoming the new FIM SuperMoto World Championship leader. Second was Thierry Van Den Bosch and third was Andrea Occhini, who was on the podium for the first time in his professional career. Thomas Chareyre took the Superpole, but was just fourth due to a DNF in the first race.

TRISCINA (ITALY), 28 August 2010 – Thomas Chareyre imposed his blistering speed during the time practice at the Kartodromo Castelvetrano in the third Grand Prix of the FIM SuperMoto World Championship. Davide Gozzini, Thierry Van den Bosch and Mauno Hermunen were classified second, third and fourth respectively, but among them there was less than a second difference. These top four riders will fight against each other in tomorrow’s Superpole to get the best position on the starting grid.

TRISCINA (ITALY), 27 August 2010 – The GP of Sicily, to take place in Triscina on August 29, will be broadcast live and delayed.

With the FIM SuperMoto World Championship paying a visit to Triscina this weekend for the S1 Grand Prix of Sicily, a selection of Superiders was welcomed in town yesterday during the traditional summer fest of the town.
